[For Act III of Il Trovatore, the role of Manrico was billed as "To Be Announced." Plácido Domingo began Act III, Scene 2 and sang Ah, si ben mio. Both Charles Anthony and Luciano Pavarotti entered as Ruiz (Domingo sang the line Pavarotti was to have sung). Pavarotti sang Di quella pira and was joined by Domingo for the final note.]
