La Bohème
Metropolitan Opera House, Mon, January 14, 1957
La Bohème (534)
Giacomo Puccini | Luigi Illica/Giuseppe Giacosa
Puccini's "La Bohème" was performed at the Metropolitan Opera House laat night
instead of Offenbach's "The Tales of Hoffman," which had been scheduled.
The Offenbach opera was canceled because two leading singers of the cast,
Lucine Amara and Richard Tucker were indisposed, as were other Metropolitan stars
who might have taken their roles.
