Montemezzi Work Repeated

"L'Amore dei Tre Re" Presented for Last Time in Current Season

The final performance this season of Italo Montmezzi's lyric drama "L'Amore dei Tre Re" was given last night at the Metropolitan Opera House before a large audience. As before, the composer was present to conduct his own work and received an ovation. The leading roles were taken by Grace Moore as Fiora, Charles Kullman as Avito, Richard Bonelli in the part of Manfredo and Ezio Pinza as the blind King Archibaldo.

Mr. Pinza once again revealed his superb artistry, and Miss Moore, in brilliant voice, gave evidence of dramatic growth. All the principals, together with Mr. Montemezzi, were called repeatedly before the curtain at the end of the second act, with Mr. Kullman winning plaudits later, after the scene in the crypt. Lesser roles were taken by Alessio de Paolis, Nicholas Massue, Lucielle Browning, Maxine Stellman, Anna Kaskas and Reno Mabilli.
