Le Coq d'Or received eight performances this season.
Production based on a concept of Michel Fokine which had solo artists and chorus on the sides of the stage while the dancers portrayed the characters in the center. The performer who danced the role of the Knight appeared with the company only in the first three seasons of this production, during which he was listed in programs as Vincenzo Ioucelli or Pietro Cella; he went on to a long, international career as a dancer, choreographer and teacher under the name Vincenzo Celli.
