Review :

According to W.J. Henderson in The New York Times, "...both the De Reszkes were suffering from colds and were unable to appear. This made it necessary to substitute M. Montariol as Lohengrin and M. Vinché as the King. While it may be true that Lohengrin has triumphed in Paris, it is not a fact that all Parisians have triumphed in Lohengrin. Two of those who have not are M. Montariol and M. Vinché."
