Review in the Boston Globe;

Faust called together a very large matinee audience yesterday at the Boston Theatre, and the performance gave very good satisfaction. Capoul was impassioned as of yore in the title character, and if he did not sing as well as some tenors who have lately been heard in the role, he used his voice very skillfully, and won a good deal of favor. Nilsson's Margherita, Scalchi's Siebel and Novara's Mephistopheles, need no words of praise.
